The other day Father was listening on a radio show where a host was commenting off-hand that the "after eighties" youth these days are very "gray"--little hope, little happiness, little motivation--and I can only think of how can we not be gray, when everything as we grow up starts to go shit.

  1. I don't know. I have to disagree. I hardly think we're gray at all. We've just had a difficult time trying to find out what to color in.

Nowadays, there is nothing left to conquer as far as self-expressionism goes.

In a world where original ideas are scarce, everyone is competing. 'I can do that!' 'It's alright' Sometimes, I even get brushed off without words.

Moving up in a field you love is hard when all the good seats are taken or being saved.

Therefore making us seem gray to people who don't understand us. Our shitty lives are just a bi-product of the process.

I know this all seems a bit off subject, but I applied the given logic to my current position in life, and it didn't fit.

Either I'm an exception, or I'm going to have to disagree

  2. On the one hand, I agree that there is a lot to be gray about, but maybe young people just need to find their colors by adapting to these difficult times. -Lola http://www.happinessinspiration.blogspot.com
