Medic: the experience

Turns out there's still paperwork to be done after getting there, and now I have signed my rights away twice and received a yellow plastic card for it. The doctor couldn't really tell me anything I didn't know and couldn't do anything besides waiting for it to get worse again, as expected. At least I know I'm way heavier than I used to be (ugh) and my blood pressure is 113/65.

Also was told twice to go get an exam at the gynecology dept.

I was told by the nurse (dark skin and pretty gray-blue eyes) that the doctor (not Dr.Sue but Dr.Su) was weeks new. He looked young, but what was funny caught my attention were his blood-shot eyes. Also had the attitude of an ABC. Just saying.

Spend the remainder of the afternoon in Hillsdale Mall, B&N, T.J. Maxx, and Michaels. Michaels had this type of soft-cover bound sketchbook that I wanted on clearance. But I missed it ;____; And they need more people working there, if I had to wait 10 minutes for help :\

Came home with fatigue and a headache.

That's actually not very accurate. I came home fine, but after dinner I felt very meh and tired and my head felt kinda funny and stuffy. Really wanted to do something, but just can't muster the focus. Currently being slightly passive aggressive by refusing to be socially convenient and entertain T's comments about DE:HR. Fuck his game.

It's not about this blog.

I tagged all my posts according to their respective subjects in very thinly-veiled pseudonyms (I was never one for creative naming), added some recent thoughts and investigations of the self, then took everything off public eyes. I have yet to work on my backlog entries. But as soon as the opportunity comes, it shall be written. There is too large a void in that important period of time and it is really time I face my own mess rather than landing in the neurotic level of defence mechanisms at every turn. It's time to move onto some sublimations.

But to the point of this post: I am highly amused that the largest fraction of posts so far is of the Nerdinator. Yeah, you know who.

I foresee that to change as time goes on and perhaps when I finish my backlog, but the blunderings of a sixteen-year-old self really does not cease to amuse.

One more serious matter: in the beginning, I wrote because I could not let my hair down just a little. Now I write because I still can't let my hair down completely to at least one person in this world. I wonder if that person will ever happen.

Caching in and catching up on sleep

I've been awake for 6.5 hours thus far today, and I'm foreseeing about 8 hours total of awake time at the most, considering how I'm already sleepy after my accidental 3-hour nap. Granted that this is potentially used for flu and general recovery from the past two weeks, it's probably fair.

Ah, went to FIRST SVR yesterday. Wanted to go Friday and deal with some paperwork on the way, but was too dizzy from the flu to drive back on Thursday. Early finals times are a mixed blessing.

Vacation until the twenty-eighth. Must use this time to do all the backlogged drawing and webby stuff.

Medicine, shower, phone call, then sleep again.

So sleepy.

Blogs, blogs, blogs

I have been dusting off my web-coding hat all afternoon-evening. The Livejournal/Deadjournal/Insanejournal/JournalFen/commiejournal system finally made enough sense for some starter customization—I will definitely churn out at least one LJcode-based layout by the end of summer. I've finally chanced upon JF opening their accounts after about a year of periodical lurking, and have discovered Commiejournal on the way—so far it has the best free account offer: 100 userpics as well as S1 style creation (S2 style creation seems to be a paid feature across the board with varying degrees of freedom for S1).

I'm learning so damn much looking at LJ: smallwaldo's source code. And the most wonderful thing? Its code is actually very neat and organized unlike some of the disgraces I've seen. Maybe that's my lack of expertise speaking.

Blogger, despite being vastly different, remains my favourite. I will not abandon you, love, never ♥ Wordpress is definitely pretty though; I will look into its coding once I settle the others.

I was fiddling with this blog's template and itched to click the "randomize blog colors" link, and after a couple of clicks and some minor adjusting, this new color scheme is the result. I still cannot figure where the code for the top (now dark gray) bar is. This requires moar research.

Ah, so yes, I've rediscovered the passion that is website coding.

Older, Happier, and getting e-valentinrs

■ PsycPort.com: Older may mean happier

No, I'm not having difficulties coming to terms with my age, no.

■ "Valentinrs is an online deposit of Valentines greetings... " (notice the grammatical error on the 3rd sentence. (winces) Even I don't make that sort of mistake...often.
