I knows the meaning of it.
I'm rather pleased by the Lenovo Ideapad Y560 I received from UPS today. I'd been waiting all Labour Day weekend for it since it arrived in a check-in station 20 minutes away from my dwellings. Technically, my Dad received it for me since I was away in the Sunset-Richmond area for some free museum touring and didn't come back until almost midnight.
But yaaaaay, computer. I'd been giddy--pawing at T and wagging my invisible tail--every time I saw a laptop today.
Nice, pretty computer. I didn't want to worry about how it'd look because I know I would obsess otherwise, but it's actually pretty nice. It's actually pretty suitable to my tastes. It matches with my phone but hopefully not down to the cracks. Anyway, too tired to stuff my computer full of programs before some sleep right now.

This is pin a lie.
Tired. So tired. And I'm not even done yet.
All I have to show for only sleeping 2.5 hours the day before recieving my undeserved alumni pin is a self-decorated tassel, because I couldn't be bothered to order the shiny symbol of ΨΧ.
I probably should see what can be moved back so junk doesn't clutter the world next six months.

New Year's (non)Resolution.
So it's the new year before I had a chance to write here again. It's been a while since I have been asked about my resolutions, until this year. Maybe that's why my resolutions never work. Or because I really don't have a sense of renewal and fresh start and etcetera sort of thinking to see the new years as an important enough marker. Short term goals based on months seem to work a little better. (hello, quarter system!)
But anyway. I really just want to note down that I heard a very sweet new year's resolution around the new year's hours, and I would like to hear another one next year. (And hope optimism does not come back to bite later). To collaborate, though, I should try to adjust/curb my behaviours and not make the same mistake as before, where I successfully guilted myself into ruins. The elementary schoolboy just takes over in matters like these, haha.
Resolutions:
1. Write more so I hate writing less.
2. Exercise more so it's less of a chore I put off.
3. Write things when I should.
4. Stay relatively afloat even in threat of the schoolboy outbreak.
今年もよろしくお願いでございます!

Birfdae.
I woke up hardly an hour ago, but today is still shaping up to be the best one in the past 3 years. Surrounding days notwithstanding. After all, I wasn't staying up getting my heart tugged around, inevitably pulling hard on the tear gland. Nor was I staying up avoiding my birthday party, not because of the company but because of an impending test.
This year, despite being lost about my direction in life and a real need to finish that report and plan this presentation and sort out that research schedule, today I will play. I slept for 17 hours (19 would be a better number) and is ready to forget about everything else, just for a day.
As an afterthought, maybe today just feels great because it's been somewhat crap for the past two weeks. Huh.

Incoherent bits on the Obama inauguration
The CNN video refuses to embed D:
Watching the parade live: Michelle Obama is so cute, all smiley and peppy and dance-y to Signed Sealed Delievered even after so long. And CNN was trying to prod the CNN Live/Facebook users to comment more by highlighting them.
I was completely distracted for a good while by the photographs of Rahm Emanuel being caught making silly faces this morning.
Barack, Michelle, Joey B were bored bored bored, then the Chinese dragons and lions came out and woke them up for the next band :]
Wow. 1,200 VMI? I like their marching music.
OOH, NASA!Craft is last! Wait, where's the astronaut with the flag going?! Oh, Right, I guess the craft's not going the whole 1.7 miles.
I like how Obama and Biden's always Red and Blue. Not the first time they planned it. It's also not just me who thinks this presidency has very pretty and entertaining people in it. It's better than the actual entertainment world!
ALSO.
I really want an .mp3 rip of this video. The ones I've been finding/hearing is missing the beginning piano bits.

Picnic Day
It rained all day.My shoes and jacket and socks and pants are all wet. And it has been bloody cold, with no heat in the room.
Got a bunch of free tomato starters, sunflower saplings, a baby pansy, and mold resistant strawberry plants. Also got sample packages of almond, organic baby carrot, and pistachio. There was also a booth where they let people stick corn in a machine to get popcorn kernels. I got an extra whole corn so I can try popping it directly on the corn XD (Plant and Environmental Science)
Parents, aunt, and I also toured the campus brewery, and got some very well made ice cream from the food science and technology people. Didn't get to see Battle of the Bands or goat milking or much of others, but we did went to play the Lazer Maze—an hour of queuing for 3 minutes of dodging lasers. Dad kept getting caught.
Yeah, didn't get to see a lot of stuff. There's always next year, I suppose.
