"I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the type of which we are conscious in ourselves. An individual who should survive his physical death is also beyond my comprehension, nor do I wish it otherwise; such notions are for the fears or absurd egoism of feeble souls." - Albert Einstein (1879-1955) German-born American Physicist
Einstein's religious beliefs were a bit liberal, but I'd be surprised if anyone now actually found them remarkable. Unless they'd held the popular belief that Einstein was a devout Christian and had just been informed otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI felt so proud when I looked up your title and found out I was right. Almost proud enough to type out a very long word and break your horizontal table.
