I think I'm was a little deprived before. That's why I'm blogging like it's my lifeforce. (Like Sandman? I'm a little tempted to draw fanarts)(er, that made no sense at all...it sorta did in my head.)

The Wizeman Question:

Simple opinion question. Can a guy and a girl hang out a lot and just be friends? Or does their spending so much time together make them victim of an unescapable fate to get together?

I don't think it's a simple question. At least for me, the one "who wouldn't know love if it wore a nametag and wacked [her] on the head with a mallet." But I think it depends on both side's personality and attitude, doesn't it? There are people who I talk to but can't, for the life of me, think of them romantically. Just impossible. Though I believe that stable couples have to be at least friends. Sure, have your love at first sight, but unless the couple are already friends with commonalities, they're bound to break up once they get out of the lust stage. Love is caring, yes? Sure there's lust, but that's not lasting...

So what is love? Because...I just realized as I was typing, it answers David's question. If love (and 'be together') is lust, then no, two of opposite gender can stay friends. If love is caring, then it's fate. Though I don't like the word 'get together;' just because you love someone doesn't mean you can or will get together with them. As Daidouji Tomoyo (CCS) said, "As long as the one I like is happy, then I will also me happy."

I don't know. Nothing from the last two paragraphs make much sense anymore. I think I veered off course. I'm confused.

"I really need to clean my room; it tends to eat up stuff I drop," was my thought after attempting to find my regular stationaries (which tends to be mobile, haha), finding 12 spanking new 1 dollar bills in a new pencil bag, and settled down for some cookies my mother baked from too sweet and buttery cookie dough she bought for a fundraising of a co-worker's son and some cashews.

I stree-eat. I really do.

Instead of doing homework, I finished Speak.

Now for a snack (not because I'm hungry) and to homework. Really this time.

It seems a little forcing myself to look a little less posessed with the Blogging Ghost by posting once a day and leave the blogging window open the whole day, I realized. This last sentence has a vague subject.

I post ten times a day in short(er) rants because I think in such. In Fragments. I don't do that elaboration stuff. That's why I'm so bad in essays. MUA.

My Grandma smiles every time she looks at me and my pigtails. I don't know if that's supposed to be good or not.

I have my hair tied up in two pigtails on the back of my head. One side tied with a rubber band, the kind that tugs and pulls and clings onto you hair and hurts, and other other side with a hair band with a blue bow attached, from the top of my bath beads jar. The ribbon-band has been holding the tissue paper on top of the jar so long that it doesn't stretch anymore. But it still holds my left pigtail, unsymmetrical to the other one.

I left bangs in my face.

My pigtails are funny. A long strand of hair protruding out of a bundle of short, spiky, bush-like hair from each side. They curl a little and tickles my face and neck.

LOL. I sound like Melinda in Speak: a nutcase.

I thought I haven't read it and I told Amy in the Library so. But I did; I remembered three sentences into the book.

Relating with what I posted yesterday, "It's is easier to floss with barbed wire than admit you like someone in middle school." Haha. I have a mentality of a middle-schooler.

I'll start homework after I eat lunch. I woke a quarter to twelve (11 hrs of sleep!) ad have been reading Speak.

Last night I went through all three volumes of Sandman that I borrowed. Amy is right; it is a great story, though the art scares me a bit and some are just gross. -_-;;

I just realized a few days ago what a useless, fowl person I am. The kind that doesn't contribute to communities much. The kind that rants a lot but says nothing. The kind that pretends that she's a lot better than anyone but is not much more different than anyone.

I realized how desperate I am to be special, though I'm unbelivably normal. I'm not much different. I may act and feel indifferent about something I should be feeling about (an absorbsion of a mask and personality I created?), but I do feel...I feel like any other girl my age, with hormones and all.

I may have a different outlook and not quite blind as the majority, but I'm definately not enlightened and self-actualized. Nor am I special.

If others read this, they'll probably think I'm ranting off some obvious truth. But that merely proves my point further—that I live in my own lies, living in some megalomanical fantasy in which I'm very good in something.

I think in terms of me. Too many examples of that.
I believed words spoken and actions taken to me are special towards me. Personalized.

No, not really.

Holly says I'm unattached romantically. Somehow what I try to be (the cool-acting androgenous female) tends to change that word to 'detached'. Seems a little more not connected, somehow. It really doesn't help that not only do I put up a face of...uncaring, I'm the kind that, and I quote from some Hikaru no Go fanfic I read a while back, "won't know love if it wore a nametag and hit me over the head with a mallet," AND I'm picky. Well, Sort of. I wouldn't say so considering who has "declared his love of me", LOL. I'm also embaressed to admit to whom I feel affinity to. A British-ruled Hong Kong trait I acquired—the pokerface, I daresay. (this sentence sounds very awkward. The word 'awkward' itself is weird.)

I feel bad for not reading other's blog/deadjournals/Xangas. Maybe I don't care, maybe I don't like how friends rite lyke dis an in 1 huge paragragh, maybe it's too much trouble, maybe I don't have enough time, maybe, maybe, maybe. Does that say I'm just too unattached to friendship...? I can blame that on not having learnt that when I was younger.

Hmm...self-pity? No, I wouldn't say so. Because I'm clearing my head of the illusion I casted upon myself for the time being.

FIRST robotics competition SVR.

First day undefeated 8 matches, second day lost all 4 matches. Dropped from Rank one to rank 6. We had awesome alliances though. Both harker and Apes of Wrath can knock off tetras on the side (not 100%, but still nice), and the strategy was great: they battle for the center row while we finish off capping our end then go attack their side. Brilliant.

That was the elimination rounds.

On the first day there were 3 close matches...a 23-24, and two in which we were sure we lost...but not. Our first or second match of the whole competition was allied with the CheesyPoofs...we pwn (pawned, LoL) the game. But then again, it could've been done with other good bots.

I got 3 hrs of sleep working on the BS crap of an essay before the friday competition and 2 hours the night after for working on the buttons. Didn't eat lunch on both days—Friday because I didn't have enough money (though I wasn't hungry and Ms. Ward brought me a JambaJuice anyways...I gotta pay her back) and Saturday because I slapped on a "Out of Order" sign on the goggles I was wearing and took a nap (Inspired by Yang's out of order sign he taped on our robot).

It was loads of fun.

Buttons: I have finished all...save for Yip's. I don't know what to do with his blurry hands and invisible screwdrivers. I can draw the missing parts in, but it's too much work. I don't even have enough to make his...on the account of a miscaculation on my part. I have composed a poster of all the 840 buttons (specified because I made one for Erica Mckay of Gunn Robotics...of what used to be). I plann to ask the members to give me their signatures and put it on the poster ^^ Now I just have to find a large printer with good quality...

Today was the new!SAT (Reasoning Test) Eeh...it was okay. Essay I didn't say all I wanted to say, and those questions where you had to identify an error in the sentence were my death. Maths were, as supposed though suprisingly, easy, and the passages too long...I wanted to read the whole thing too =\ I hope I did well. (Is that possible? I got a 1100 on the PSAT and nothing above 700 in the Pre-new!SAT online [Grammar a 590])

BUT! I got to finish Daejanggum after I got back~! And that was what I did ALL afternoon. Really. I laid on the couch and watched Korean Drama XD left for dinner for 45 minutes or so around 6-7, and finished the series around 45 minutes ago.

I want the DVD set even MORE now. I absolutely LOVE (notice the emphasis) the series, despite its dumb summary. It's cooking, advanture, medicine, romance, action, drama, politics, and life all rolled into one XDDDDDDDDDDDdddd!!!1111one

Interlude
When I started the shower, I noticed some fiber-ish, reddish thing floating towards the drain, and my first thought was, "again? It's not supposed to come for 3 more weeks!"

But it was only lint from my red socks.


Worry
Amy and I were just finished talking about Anime Overdose tomorrow on AIM(technically it's today, but as someone onl LJ said, "it's not tomorrow until I sleep, dammit!") and I had to go shower. When I came back, Amy sent me two messages:

oow (back pain)...this is not cool. Working for six and a half hour to make one button, four of those consecutive, is not cool. Well, I was trying to make a tutorial-ish thing along with the button, but still.

I feel that I should write this down. Finally I've had it with the not-so-subtle hints and asked Clarence about the rose and the calls through email. He responded with a call asking whether a talk on the phone or meet sometime should be in order. Thus we met after school today. (By the way, this is a LOT more direct than our actual conversation, which was more like walking around the subject in circles than not...) But on the way down to Aragon Boulevard, he just wouldn't...admit to anything...which was frustrating.

I ended up making things clear verbally, since he knew exactly what I was hinting at yet refused to acknowledge it, and the way we were making big circles around the subjects wasn't getting anywhere.

I made it clear that:
Yes, I know that he likes me;
No, I'm not abhorred or repelled by it;
No, I don't like him the way he likes me;
No, this will not make things awkward on my part; and
No, I don't mind at all if he asks me out.
(Oh, and No, I don't like anyone at the moment.)

Somehow I had to repeat and emphasize my point(s) many times. Not only because of his experiences of others (as he had told me), but also because he seems to care too much whether I would be happy or not in the case that we go out. Which is nice, but I've repeatedly stated that I DON'T MIND.

Well, that went on for around half an hour, him and I just talking besides his car parked on Aragon, occationally veering off course because of innocent passerbys or my easily distracted self.

In terms of progress of our forty-five minute talk, most progress was made as he drove me home. Perhaps because baselines had been established and perhaps of our more private envrionment, I kind of 'finalized' this 'confession stage'. (Which, by the way, he never outright admitted. I think it's a disorder among many man and women, called EGO.)

I left that I meant my points as listed above, he should stop thinking so much about how he think I would feel (the whole 'happiness level' thing...) because I don't NOT enjoy, for the lack of better terms at the moment, 'hanging out' with him, and my offer of not rejecting him still stands, THOUGH I will not be able to see him as anything like a subject of affection. Then I pushed the responsibilty of whether I should go out with him back to him. After all, I lead most of the conversation.

He doesn't want to take the risk of us ruining a friendship from a fight or whatnot. I think it's a risk one will have to take to confess. There's no way around it, and he had already set something in motion when he called me Last Christmas and New Year's just to chat (when I was a Soph-o-moron). Besides, it also mean that he doesn't know me quite well: I may easily get excited, but I'm slow to anger and even then, I forgive easily. Grudges are just too tiring to maintain and I can't expend extra energy to be mad. (I'm also slow to affection, haha. A bit apathetic and cold-hearted, perhaps.)

An online quiz catagorized me as either a Happy-Go-Lucky or a Psycho. I think it's pretty accurate.

Anyway. That's the end of this episode of my life. Interesting episode, yet not really significant...perhaps, perhaps not. Having to deal with Benson and Henry definately helped though, LoL. Benson was okay, but Henry was just...scary. The stalker type o___O;;; I mean, asking me to a movie THREE DAYS after even noticing his very existance?! (Though I did go with him that week, I think. Wh00t, I like The Italian Job!) He also bought be stuff...though using lame excuses (just as lame as asking my Japanese homework more than often enough), and he was a big jerk to Sensei...Even if I had nothing against him, I was disgusted with his attitude and personality...

Anyways, I'll end my love life rant.

I Am a Dot!

We played "He's a Dot"' game in History, and it's immensely entertaining. Basically we were given an identity—a Dot or not a Dot, and to win, the dots have to be the only Dot person in the group and the others must form a group with the most non-dots. But you don't want others to find you as a dot. If you're convinced that another is a dot, you should yell, " **** is a dot!"

I was a dot, and made a fatal gap in my logic during my talk, but surprisingly, I wasn't voted out of my group. (Though our group was the only group with two dots...gah! Elton!) My fatal mistake is saying, "there might be no non-dots at all." I think the logic is simple enough. A non-dot can easily identify me, a dot, as I would be more likely to say that there are potentially no dotted person at all than what I said. Amy knew I was a Dot (as to Arnaud and Chris Suen because of my inability to lie) from this flaw, yet she didn't rally people to kick me out.

I think there are more than just looking at others to decide whether he or she is lying. In my case, there's a sense of kinship between me and Amy, thus the reason why she wasn't very strong in her persuasion in me being a dot. We also formed groups of our own friends. Aaah, I should've been trying more to kick Elton out...then I wouldn't have lost (we're the only group who lost). ^^;; He was being himself, which is suspicious...o___O;; <-- weird logic.

I think I really learned that other's opinions shouldn't interfere in my own thinking, as demonstrated in us mistakenly thinking Jared Abbott, Jason Ng, and a little convinced that BT (Brian Tam) are dots. If one's a dot, they won't be so easily tossed around and shown, wouldn't they? The non-dots ARE the ones with no evidence or motive...which keeps them unconvincing in other's eyes. Being innocent is tough.

Me being a dot probably made me more suspicious of potential dots also. I think the non-dots, because they must unite to win, tend to be more trusting than the non-dots, who must see everyone else as their enemy, including their own kind.

By the way, this is to experience the Communist fear in the Cold War.
